Reverberating ever with love and respect.

You surprised me with your commitment

And commendably completed the tasks

Entrusted to your able and erudite leadership.

          Though an academician first,

          An organizer next to none are you.

          A sports lover and patron besides,

          A trait inherited from your father beloved.

A good son, brother and husband,

A dutiful and affectionate father too.

A good teacher and research guide

And a Principal at long last at

Government College, Attingal.

          From here are you bidding

          Farewell to teaching,

          The noblest of professions.

Can a teacher retire really?

Be sure that students are

Going to trouble you still!

          May you have days of relaxation

          And rest from the campus busy-ness

          And come out refreshed and recharged

          To serve the world uniquely and nobly…
