Ecclesiastical 'dignitaries'!

What one sees in the bishops with all their paraphernalia is anything other than what Jesus wanted from his disciples all along. He said rather categorically of himself that 'i have come not to be served, but to serve...' , and of the disciples: 'whoever would like to be the first should be the last..' and the 'gentiles lord it over their subordinates; and it should not be like that among you...' and so on.

But these followers of Constantine than Jesus become very often ostentatious and 'exhibitionists' of their 'royalties' including the very titles such as 'excellency', 'eminence' 'grace' etc and the insignia like the scepter,   miter, ring etc.! They love receptions and all rituals to show off. This betrays of their shallowness. They seemed to be worried of their 'having's rather than what really matters, that is their 'being'!

All these show don't witness to holiness. They seem to be religious than spiritual. They seem to be comfortable with possessions and positions than with the providence. They really not even serve God and mammon, but only mammon by way of serving wealth and all its antecedents and consequences.

Quite many of them have tummies which is in clear contrast to the starving frames of the children in the so called third world! Their residences are still called 'palaces' when many of their 'faithful' don't have a roof over their heads very much like Jesus who lamented that the son of man doesn't have a place to lay his head!

They claim to be the successors of the apostles! In what way so? The pope represents Jesus or Peter? Even if he claims to represent  Peter, he can't assume power as Peter never did so. The papacy we have today is never that of Peter nor any other apostle, but of Constantine or his anointees!
